What is CSA?
A CSA is a system of mutual support and benefit between local farmers and community members.
In our case, locals receive vegetables, herbs, and occasional fruits harvested at their peak from our farm, just hours before pick-up, and experience the unique pleasures of eating seasonally. We farmers receive a steady source of predictable income, which helps to mollify some of the uncertainty and fluctuation of farming.
Locals get the satisfaction of putting their food dollars towards local food independence and community resilience. Farmers get the satisfaction of developing close connections with the people eating their food.
Together, eaters and farmers get to invest in and build a local food system, focused on healthy and sustainable production, that grows the best quality produce with the best ecological practices.

Frequently asked questions?
We invoice through a program called Toast. You will receive an email invoice through which you can pay online with a card for your CSA share. Payment must be received in order to begin receiving your CSA share.
Your CSA season price will be pro-rated to the week you begin on.
Of course! You can sign up for more than one box on the same day or different days, if you need that second hit of veggies half way through the week.
We have chosen not to certify organic; however, we are a regenerative and educational farm, and so our practices closely align with and even surpass the standards set by the USDA organic certification. We are a no-till, synthetics-free farm focused on regenerating the soil and growing nutritious food. For more details on our practices, contact our produce manager at georgia@visithappygoat.com.
A Fall CSA is in the works. Sign ups will go out some time in the summer, and existing CSA members from summer will have the first opportunity to sign up.
Unfortunately, at this time, if you miss your day, we cannot offer a later pick up time or a refund.
We currently do not have other opportunities for CSA pickups, but we are working on it! If you are interested in the CSA but the pickup times/locations are prohibitive, please (we beg of you) email us so that we know the need is there, and so we can reach out to you when we add more options. Also, we may be able to help coordinate with other CSA members to help get you your box.
